The Albers Cowl was inspired by the work of Josef Albers, a German-born artist and educator. He taught at the Bauhaus and later, after fleeing the Nazi's, at Black Mountain College in NC. His interest in the infinite varieties of squares created by combinations of color and parallel lines makes his work instantly recognizable.
