Double knitting is exactly what it says. It's a great alternative to traditional stranded knitting techniques. There are no floats, making it possible to use colorwork charts with long stretches between colors.

You'll learn how to knit with two colors at the same time, a little bit of color theory, and where/how to find charts that can be converted into a double knitting chart.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Please be able to knit with confidence.  This is not a learn to knit class.

What's included:  Practice patterns, a simple cowl pattern, and the more advanced cowl pattern pictured.  

What you should bring:

• Worsted weight yarn in two sharply contrasting colors.  NO VARIAGATED YARN.
• Size 7 circular needles, 16" or 22"

If you'd like to start the simple cowl pattern in class, you will need two skeins of Juniper Moon Herriott Great (a main color and a contrast color) and size 10 (6mm) circular needles (16" or 22").
