Crochet 101

With the world of crochet ever growing in popularity, the world of online tutorials and guides has become overwhelming to navigate. Join us in our 3-hour one-session class to begin your journey into the popular world of crochet! This class is meant for those who have never touched a crochet hook, or those who are looking for a hands-on experience with an in person instructor! 

Class Structure:

Essential Crochet Techniques: Get acquainted on how to hold a crochet hook, the basic beginner stitches like double crochet and a magic circle. Learn how to choose the proper yarn and hook size for your project.

Pattern Reading: Learn how to read both chart patterns and written patterns! Discover the meaning behind each shape and symbol in a chart pattern, and alleviate the intimidation surrounding the common abbreviations used in written patterns. 

Hands-On Project: Apply your new skills to create granny squares for a mini pouch, perfect for carrying your airpods or other smaller items! 

Please bring to class:

• crochet hook, either H or I
• two skeins of worsted weight yarn in matching colors
• reading glasses, if needed

 Class Size: Maximum 4 participants to ensure personalized attention and guidance.

We will be working at a pace appropriate for older teens and adults. This class is not suitable for children.  PLEASE BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OLD.  

Class fees are not refundable unless the class is canceled by the shop.  Students agree to this policy when they register for the class.
