Time: Sundays, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Two-session class)
Skill Level: Beginner (Ages 14+*)

Curious about knitting but don’t know where to start? Join our 3-hour beginner class and learn the foundational skills every knitter needs. This hands-on workshop will walk you through the basics, from how to hold your needles to finishing your first swatch using the instructor’s beginner-friendly pattern.

What You’ll Learn:

Casting On & Getting Started

  • Learn how to cast on and manage yarn tension
  • Get comfortable holding needles and working at a steady pace

Knit & Purl Stitches

  • Master the two basic stitches that form the foundation of all knitting: the knit stitch and the purl stitch

Binding Off & Finishing

  • Learn how to finish your work cleanly

  • Apply your new skills to create a simple piece using the instructor’s pattern

Class Details:

  • Materials Provided: Pattern 

  • Please Bring:

    • Bulky Weight-weight yarn (Beatrix by Juniper Moon suggested),

    • US 10 circular needles (minimum 24", metal needles suggested), 

    • Tapestry Needle,

    • Pencil,

    • Scissors,

  • Class Size: Maximum 4 participants for personalized guidance

*We will be working at a pace appropriate for older teens and adults. Please be at least 14 years old unless given prior permission by staff.

Interested in a private class?  The cost is $60/hour with a 2 hour minimum.  Private group classes are also available for a group of 4 or more.  Please contact us for more information.
