Time: Sundays, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Two-session class)
Skill Level: Beginner (Ages 14+*)

Colorwork knitting isn't so scary, and we're here to show you! Come knit with Alicia as she teaches you a specific form of colorwork knitting: Mosaic Knitting. This workshop if great for those who know how to knit and purl, but want to expand their knitting skills into a variety of beautiful techniques. 

What You’ll Learn:  The student(s) will be taught

• mosaic knitting; knitting with 2 different colors and carrying yarns up the sides of fabrics.
• reading and working from a chart &/or written directions
• knitting I-Cord edges and I-Cord Bind Off and more

What You Need to Bring:

• Printed/Digital copy of pattern you can write on
  • You must purchase Flannel Crush Cowl by Samantha Guerin on Ravelery before class.
• Yarn & needles required for project.
  • 2 Colors of Sport Weight Yarn.
    • Color A: 185 yards of a solid color.
    • Color B: 195 yards of a varigated color with high contrast. 
  • Size US 5 Needles with 24" length cable. 
• Practice yarn & needles. 

Outcome: Student will learn to Mosaic Knit a cowl. Majority of knitting will be finished at home by students.

*We will be working at a pace appropriate for older teens and adults. Please be at least 14 years old unless given prior permission by staff.

• Fewer than 14 days before the first class: No refunds.
• Seat transfer: If you find a replacement who pays for and takes your seat before the first class begins, you are eligible for a full refund.
