Knitting: Heart Garland

Time: Sunday, February 1 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Two-session class)
Skill Level: Beginner (Ages 14+*)

Need some quick and easy decor for Valentine's Day? Come practice knitting flat with this one piece Heart Garland!

What You’ll Learn:  The student(s) will be taught how to knit a flat heart shaped garland in one piece.

What You Need to Bring: Worsted Weight Yarn (170 yards) (we recommend Germantown by Kelbourne Woolens or Rios by Malabrigo), and US 7 Double Pointed Needles. You must purchase and have ready the following pattern: Easy Heart Garland by Cassandra May ($4.50 on Ravelry).

Skills needed: Students should be familiar with the knit and purl stitches. Students should also have some practice in a knitted cast-on and a backward loop cast-on.

*We will be working at a pace appropriate for older teens and adults. Please be at least 14 years old unless given prior permission by staff.
