Join our 3-hour one-session class and begin your journey towards creating your own clothing, accessories, and home decor. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of sewing, from understanding your sewing machine to completing your first project. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine before or need a refresher on the basics, this class is the perfect starting point for your sewing journey.

Class Structure:

Introduction to Sewing Machines: Get acquainted with the parts and functions of a sewing machine. Learn how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and practice basic stitching.
Essential Sewing Techniques: Master essential skills such as straight stitching, backstitching, zigzag stitching, and seam finishing. Understand fabric types and how to choose the right needle and thread for your projects.
Pattern Reading and Cutting: Learn to read and follow simple sewing patterns.  
Hands-On Project: Apply your new skills to create a tote bag.  

Class Details:

Materials Provided: Sewing machines, fabric, patterns, needles, thread, scissors, and other essential sewing tools for use during class.


Class Size: Maximum 4 participants to ensure personalized attention and guidance.


If you bring your own machine, please be certain that it is in good working order.  We will not have time to troubleshoot.

We will be working at a pace appropriate for older teans and adults. This class is not suitable for children. Unless you have received prior permission from shop staff, PLEASE BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OLD.  

Class fees are not refundable unless the class is canceled by the shop.  Students agree to this policy when they register for the class.
